When you receive free merchandise from Temu, it sometimes displays a "Purchase (Use) Bill of Lading", which means that the recipient does not have to pay duty.
If you check through the "rules" or "Q&A" tab of all events on Temu, it states that all items in Temu are sold at a price including taxes.
I also thought that I had to pay the customs duty, so I paid it right away, and then today I got a call from Forwarder saying they were going to give me a refund.
