Y700 was in a bit of an uproar this morning, and as you might expect, we've just reached the end of the tunnel.
I don't do utility audits, so I'm a little quick on my feet, and the reasons for doing a utility audit are usually: one, it's random; two, if you ordered too many items for personal use; or three, it was an alleged infringement of property rights by the Customs Department -- which is bogus. The first reason is that they're going to be imported and repaired at some point, just like a general clerk; the second reason is, if there's proof that they were intended for customs or private consumption, they'll usually be fixed within a week; and the third reason is they've never been disposed of.
For those of you who were contacted on the 19th, I'm guessing the filing took place around noon on the 20th, and the hearing is scheduled for 3 p.m. on the 18th.
